A free, public index of open-source mailing lists, operated on a best-effort
basis with no SLA and no warranty.

Source of data
--------------
Archives are published by the lists themselves. listindex mirrors the git
epochs that public-inbox publishes -- the mechanism kernel.org supports for
mirroring -- and does not scrape HTML or evade rate limits. The mirrors are
re-served from here so that this service reduces load on the upstream
archives rather than adding to it.

Removal requests
----------------
Messages are public list traffic, but removal requests are honoured. The
mirrored git history is append-only upstream, so a removal here suppresses
the message from all served artifacts, indexes and dumps.

If you ever cannot reach this service, the full mirrorable archives and
periodic dumps are published so that nothing depends on it continuing to
exist.
